This high voltage power unit (HVPU) designed for the Eurofighter is a switch mode power supply device which includes the following fundamental functions:

  • Ground equipment for mains simulation on the Eurofighter

  • Converter for 400Hz mains simulation 3 phase wide range Mains input with a sinusoidal input

  • 3 phase wide range Mains input with a sinusoidal input current characteristic

  • 400Hz Input Frequency
  • Output selection, 3-phase AC or 3 individual DC voltages

  • Each output is individually programmable via RS232 interface in voltage and frequency

  • Galvanic isolation between input, output and the control circuit

  • Integrated multifaceted monitoring and protection functions
